I was researching for available geometry frameworks and stumbled upon three.js. I went through a few tutorials on Youtube and voila! My very first geometry using three.js ! (Go ahead try interacting with it!)
You wouldn’t believe how simple it is until you test it out yourself! This tutorial takes you through from the start and provides really clear instructions! I had absolutely zero experience with Javascript and still could do it, nothing is impossible with a little bit of tinkering 🙂
Three.js is probably the strongest reason why I’m even learning Javascript at all. Just thinking about the possibilities of using the framework for BIM models excites me!
Hi Han,
Civil engineer here.
I found your blog to be quite interesting!
I tried to learn some JS on my own but when it comes down to sit on my ass and do tutorials, I seem to lose all my grit pretty quickly. I still find all of this very interesting though.
What is your opinion on Babylon.js?
Thanks for the kind words ilya 🙂
Honestly, I havent had my hands on babylon, I’ve just checked it out and it looks super cool!
I may try mess around with it someday.
Keep grinding! A little everyday goes a long way!
